Another sad (and terribly early) death in the ranks of Net pioneers: Jim Ellis, one of Usenet’s founders, has passed away. A moment of silence, please, for the man who created the groups alt.sex and alt.drugs and then, noting the imbalance in the Force, went ahead and created alt.rock-and-roll.
