When civil liberties hang by a thread, don’t forget to be thankful for the thread. The House Of Lords put the smackdown on some truly nasty, intrusive legislation from the Home Secretary that would have required (among other things) all ISPs to keep copies of everything you do online, to be perused at the whim of any law-enforcement official that might feel like doing so for any reason. America’s not the only country under assault from cryptofascists…
